Technical writing
My time working for architecture and engineering practices has involved a large amount of long form copywriting for proposals, press releases and award submissions. Often, these documents are prepared by interviewing the architect or engineer involved in a particular project and turning that interview into a design narrative. Sometimes I take info from multiple sources – often very dry and technical descriptions – and adapt it to be more engaging and digestible.
The illustrated essay below was submitted to the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Awards 2019. The project went on to win the IStructE Award for Sustainability.
